Breathing for Performance: Optimizing Performance

  • Total Health Solutions 11485 West 8th Avenue Lakewood, CO, 80215 United States (map)

Are you breathing correctly? Most people are not. It seems like a simple and easy thing to do, right? We are always breathing - it is an automatic action of your body and brain. With training, you can unlock the power to use your breath to get the most out of your body and mind.

Your breath is the one voluntary and involuntary physiological action of your body and brain and it affects every system in your body. When you consciously choose to take control of your breath, you create a state shift within yourself which can support your performance.

Whether you are starting out on your movement journey or are a seasoned athlete, there is something to learn about how your breath supports your overall health and performance. Or maybe you want to learn how you can use your breath to be your best in your everyday life.

Your breath is a powerful tool to support you in preparing for a challenge, staying focused and motivated, and bringing you back to a calm state. Proper breathing supports your muscular endurance, allows you to better control your heart rate, and promotes deeper and faster recovery over time. Breathing can also help reset your mind and get you focused.

In this workshop series, explore how you can work with your breath to perform your best, recover strong, and tackle challenges. You will learn proper breathing technique and specific practices you can use in your daily life.

Optimizing Performance: Many people ignore their breathing while exercising, training, or in the stress of everyday life. With proper breathing, you can improve your performance - whether you are tackling your daily workout, crossing the finish line of a big race, or pushing through a challenge at home or work.
